Little Miss

We did it! We finally have a name for this adorable little Maughanster! Presenting Alexis Abigail Maughan  born at 10:15 am, Thursday December 20, 2012. She weighs in at 6 lbs, 12 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. Who knew we could make a 20+ incher? :) Short legs run in the family but not on this girl! She has long skinny legs and "flipper" feet. We will have to put this one in swim lessons when she is older. Isn't she so cute!

So far Lexi is doing great. She is a good eater and a good sleeper. She has already put herself on a 3 hour schedule. She has lost a lot of weight, more then the doctors like, but we don't think that will keep her from going home at this point. This is actually not unusual for our babies. Rachel lost a bunch of weight in the hospital as well and then plumped up rather quick at home.
Everything went great with the delivery for mom. C-sections might be more painful in the long run, but it is sure nice to be able to plan it all out. Hopefully the recovery will be just as easy. All the doctors and nurses have been wonderful through the whole process. Can't wait to get home!
